What a fantastic sailfish run it has been this year. We have been consistently catching them on every trip out to the reef. Most of the action has remained right out front so we have not gone out very far. Mixed in with the sailfish has been plenty of mahi mahi and an occasional wahoo. Of course the groupers and mutton snappers have been biting well on the bottom too. We have been drifting from 200’ to 50’ with two kites and several flat lines and bottom lines. I usually run around eight or nine lines at one time so it can get very crazy when a school of fish comes into the “spread” of live pilchards or ballyhoo. We also caught a 75 lb cobia on a color change this month too!
